Finally, the first Friday of Spring 2005

My prediction on the Duke score was exactly right until Lee Melchionni fouled a Miami player with about 2 minutes to go. The Miami guy went to the line and sunk a couple free throws and to end it all, Duke ended up winning by 9 because Miami kept tossing up 3's and they were actually falling.

Well, there was ANOTHER snow storm, but to my disappointment and expectations, classes were not cancelled. I didn't mind that it snowed and it would've been nice to cancel classes just so I wouldn't have to walk up to Mount Wynne on nothing but ice-covered sidewalks. Thanks Longwood -- you'll be getting my doctor's bill if I slip and break my leg or even if I slightly bruise myself by slipping on the icy sidewalks. Who needs lower insurance costs when the university they attend will cover the bill?

To start the first Friday of Spring Semester 2005, I went to my 9AM class (American Revolutionary Era) and fought "sleepy eyes" the whole period and agreed upon an oral presentation topic with my presentation partner. The topic we agreed upon was researching the Continental Navy, headed by John Paul Jones during the Revolutionary Era. Never read much about it, so it's good to choose something I don't know much about -- that way I can do some of what they call "LEARNING."
--------->If only it didnt COST SO MUCH to LEARN!!

Tonight, I think I will get all my reading done for next week. That way I can enjoy any Duke basketball game during the next week that might be on ESPN on Wednesday, January 26, 2005. Besides reading, I'll be up in my room waiting for the lady to dial me up, which is a long, boring wait, but somebody's gotta do it and that somebody is ME. I'd be single if that somebody WASN'T me. (Laughing)
