Black Leather, $200 discount

So Friday was my second and last day off until Thursday, July 7 and I took advantage of it (being sarcastic again) and happily took my car up to John's Auto and Tire on Jeff Davis toward Richmond. It being the last day to get an inspection before the good ole men in blue issue tickets, I figured I would be waiting for about half the day, but luckily I got to the place early and was only there for about an hour.

I got back from getting my inspection and my parents proposed a trip to Farmville to check out Sunchase Apartments, since it will be my home for the next year. We got up there and checked out the model apartment and everythig else Sunchase has to offer and the 'rents were impressed by Sunchase's ability to exceed their expectations. SO now I guess mom approves.

We left Farmville after a quick meal at Arby's and headed home. On the way home, my dad proposed what seemed a boring idea at the moment: "let's go check out this furniture place that is having a big sale." So we head to some furniture store on Research Rd. and now I see it wasn't such a boring idea. I ended up getting a much needed night stand, a full size bed with mattress, boxspring, and frame -- ALL for hundreds less than original price. I'm glad they were going out of business. Sounds mean, but if they weren't going out of business I would have been able to stumble upon the great find.

I got me a black, real leather "love seat" (or small couch as I like to call it) and I got it for a much lower price than expected. I got the sweet leather couch for $200, originally a $400+ love seat. SCORE!

PATRICK & FERNANDO: Got us a sweet couch guys. OH, and absolutely NO making out or horsing around on my couch -- it's got to last me for more years to come. LoL

Friday night was sweet: Maria took me to our fav. place, Don Jose and we went to see Mr. and Mrs. Smith, which turned out to be a much better movie than I had expected. That was the best Friday night I have had in such a long time and it was great to spend time with Maria, which is a rare event since we both work full-time and part-time.

Saturday, I worked a 9am-5pm shift at the Petersburg National Battlefield Visitor's Center and got out of there around 5:15. Getting off at 5:15 ain't too bad right? That WOULD be true, but I was also scheduled to work 6pm - 10:30pm at Ukrop's. I got to Ukrop's at around 5:45pm and was immediately asked to close in the Cafe -- I gave in and it wasn't as busy as it was on the front end.

Here's to the start of Fall 2005 Semester and fun times at Sunchase!
1 more month and about 7 more days until move in . . . .
