21st Bday, Finals Week, Summer Plans

Finals week started on Monday (May 2), which just so happened to also be my birthday.... how awesome is it that on my birthday finals start [sarcastic of course]!

I started the week off by taking an American Revolution final exam on Monday, which wasn't too bad. To make the day even better, it was my [and my twin brother's] 21st birthday and we celebrated it with the Longwood Crew (Fern, Patrick, April, Maria, Thomas, Me and absent Carriee).

We went to Macado's and Patrick had a hard time pronouncing the name of the restaurant and he didn't hear the end of it from us either. It was a great time and one of the best bdays I've ever had, even better than my Ninja Turtles bday back in the day or my Pog Tournament bday back in 5th grade. Yea.... I know what you're thinking and you're right, i AM cool.

Today I took my 2nd of 3 exams, which was a class called How Great Generals Win. Now that exam suprised me because the exam was exactly what he gave us on our Study Guide, so I had that junk memorized. Also got a paper back, which was about the Spanish Conquest of the Aztecs (if you care -- sure you don't). That also made my day sweet -- "A+, spectacular paper."

Between FIFA, trips to the D Hall, net surfing, facebook checking, and straight napping, I've successfully downplayed Finals Week and have made it so insignificant in my mind that there is no such thing as stress. Sorry if you can't be stress free during Finals Week....... try living a little.

One more exam to go and this one's going to be a challenge because it's Spanish 202, but you know what? I still won't stress over it because I'll do my best and if that's not good enough for Longwood then guess what? [You can figure out the rest!]

Looking forward to heading home on Friday, goin' out with THE FELLAS (TM) on Saturday night, hittin' up the batting cage on Sunday with Jake the snake, heading to NJ and NY City May 11 - 13, and just living it up and enjoying the rays.

Despite all the fun, it will come to an end.... I have to meet my internship requirement this summer at Petersburg National Battlefield [come visit me there] as well as working at Ukrop's, where I have become a senior front end cashier [nothing of significance ... I made it up]. This coming August will mark the 5th anniversary of working at Ukrop's, which also makes me feel old.
