Procrastination at its best!

I have come to the conclusion that I have mastered the art of procrastination in a little over 2 and a half years since becoming a student at a highly established VA university...... (err... sure).

And yes, I said it was an art. Why? Because not everyone is good at it and you've got to be an extremely dynamic student in order to do it. It is an art also because only the greatest skilled students can do it and do it well.

Procrastination as defined by hyperdictionary:
[n] - slowness as a consequence of not getting around to it

I find this definition degrading; it is suffocating the art of procrastination and discounts the benefits one can receive by mastering it. The hyperdictionary webmaster must have not mastered the art of procrastination and is taking it out on those like me who have mastered it. His novice procrastination skills must keep him from recognizing the great art.

From a school work standpoint, I work better under pressure, which also maximizes the skill I have in procrastination. Everytime I didn't procrastinate, for example, my papers would not receive such high marks as papers done with procrastination. So why bother trying to get things done ahead of schedule?

By waiting until the last minute, you also minimize road bumps and side tracks, therefore, it is an art and it pays off big!
