College Basketball
First of all.... I'd like to give you MY Top 10 teams in the nation. Why? Because ESPN thinks it's ranking system with USA Today is the most accurate. I'm not going to play with numbers and come up with some sort of mathematical calculation to tell you what my Top 10 is.
Check it out:
1.) Illinois - only because they're undefeated; they played Longwood for goodness sake
2.) North Carolina - would be my #1, but they lost to Santa Clara!
3.) Oklahoma State - tremendous strength in their big men, not to mention their guard core
4.) Kentucky - what more can I say besides Tubby Smith?
5.) Wake Forest - Chris Paul is an awesome player, but he plays dirty and needs an attitude adjustment by use of somebody's fist
6.) Boston College - only 1 loss, credible wins -- most notably Syracuse
7.) Duke - Coach K is the greatest college coach ever.. JJ Redick is dropping 38 like nothing these days
8.) Arizona - Salim Stoudamire can take over a game by himself, but credit his mid-season/late season great play to Coach Lute Olsen
9.) Kansas - Still in my Top 10, despite losing 3 straight games
10.) Syracuse - Gerry McNamara and Hakim Warrick is the best duo in the country
NOTE: ESPN has Michigan State at #10, ahead of Syracuse, Louisville, Utah, Pittsburgh, and UConn......... Mich. St. is weaker in my opinion compared to this handfull of great teams.
